Here’s a pretty popular request: many people want to enrich their entries with maps (GPX files). We have an API for doing this automatically, which is used already e.g. by eCoach for Nokia N900 – we are working with a number of other parties, more news to follow on interoperable products!
For those who want to do this manually, we now support uploading GPX files with entries (you’ll find this option under “Show more” in relevant activities). One practical tip: if you leave the distance and duration fields empty, they’ll be auto-filled with data from the GPX file.

Is there a size limit with the GPX uploads ? I have a 2.5 MB log from a recent marathon..
I have been using eCoach on my N900 for while now together with the Zephyr HXM heart-rate monitor. My heartrate data is in the PX file that eCoach upload to you guys, but you don’t seem to care much for my heart-rate details
Please add support for the heart-rata data also !!!
Thanks,
Morten – Written on my N900
Thank you and cheers
Is there any plans / possibility to manually upload GPX files also with heiaheia mobile?
That would be really nice option also.
@Sami: there’s a limit, and we just increased it to 4Mb – so you should be ok with your marathon file. Will be really nice to see it in the feed!
Great stuff – thanks
No more linking to Runkeeper ! Getting the iPhone users on board somehow would be greatly appreciated for GPX auto-uploading that is.
Anyhow, cheers guys!
There seems to be a problem with eCoach/N900 uploads for the moment. The distance is missing. I have added them manually.
And when you are on it, you could also add the automatic fill of Average/Maximum Speed. The info is in the eCoach GPX. (Probably also the Average/Maximum Heart values if not N/A)
This is nice.
When we can get some statistic data out of heiaheia, wasted calories, kilometers etc?
Great.
Now just make that map OpenStreetMap and it’s (closer to) perfect.
Now seriously: I think that OSM is much better a choice for activity mapping as it allows those who want to map their paths do it — and actually see where they’ve run (on a map, that is).
Keep up the great work!
Is there a chance to get GPX files to iPhone? Are the GPX files compatible with iPhone maps?
When I try to upload manually a gpx file the heiaheia form after doing some activity don’t upload anything. I have to close it and re enter the info. It is not possible to cancel the filename.
I tried to upload GPX file to my existing entry but it did not work. It showed that downloading was completed but updating my exercise entry with GPX did not go through.

I tried again with new entry but completing entry was not possible when I tried to download GPX file.
Hi
It Could be nice if support for the other data ecoach also supply i.e. heart rate, altitude, and speed also could be visualized.

Exported GPX files is not working…
Hi! I’m using a Holux M-1000c GPS data logger and ezTour to export the route into a GPX file. However, the map won’t show up in my entry on heiaheia. It’s a black screen, but I have the options “Delete map from this entry – Download GPX file”.
What’s wrong here?
Would be nice to see this and other possible data synced with http://www.sports-tracker.com.
Hi! Any plans to add TonyK’s suggestion i.e. calculate automatically Average/Maximum Speed when uploading a gpx file?
Hi,
Has anyone find a solution for above described problem with exporting GPX files. I am using MyLogger and with my previous computer I didn’t have any problems exporting the GPX. But with my new laptop it doesn’t export the GPX-files though. When I click ‘save’ it just stays saying ‘Saving…’
An annoying little thing, otherwise I am very satisfied HeiaHeia user!
Hi *,
is there any option or possibility to connect Cardio Trainer (on Android) to HeiaHeia?
Thx
