This is HeiaHeia team blog. Here you will find the latest news about HeiaHeia and its developers.
In Finland, just about the only thing we envy from the Norwegians is their hypnotic Heia! Heia! chant for their cross-country skiers and other athletes. It is certainly one of the most fun cheers of its kind, too good for just one country to keep! Enter HeiaHeia.com – a web service, where anybody can experience the feeling of being cheered for by your friends for your skiing heroics, your runs, your walks, your gardening – or whatever your favourite physical activities happen to be.
The purpose of Heiaheia is to provide you with positive motivation for keeping fit. The service combines the benefits of training diaries and social networking in an easy to use, entertaining, game-like package. Our philosophy for keeping fit is “everything counts” – that’s why we don’t focus on any particular sport, technology, or gear. Rather than that, we support almost 300 different sports already, and new ones are added continuously according to user requests. We want to enable social interaction among all your sporty friends, not only the runners, the techies, the devotees of a particular brand, etc.
Heiaheia is an evolving service: we’re introducing new functionalities and refining existing ones all the time based on user behaviour and wishes.
Heiaheia.com Beta release was launched in December 2009. It is based on an Alpha service called Moozement.com, which was launched in December 2008.
Heiaheia is run by Mooze Oy (Ltd.), a privately owned company based in Helsinki, Finland.
We hope you enjoy the Heiaheia, and warmly welcome all feedback on the service!

Hei!
Etsin uusia sähköisiä kanavia joissa voisimme tulospohjaisesti markkinoida lehtiämme. Varsinkin Sport-lehti sopisi hyvin heiaheia -sivustolle.
Yhteydenottoanne odottaen,

Hi
How do I change the scale in the weight chart? I usally weight between 57 and 59 kg. Now I have lost some weight and weight 55.5 kg. When I add my new weight to the chart I can only view the new weight. The older weights are hidden in the top of the chart and I cannot find a “scroll up” button.
´Thanks.
Hi
Many thanks for this excellent site. “I move more often thanks to my friend Kati and HeiaHeia”.
One question for you: why not allowing the upload of photos showing the “stage”? It would be nice to see guys moving as well as the places where they are!
Cheers from Spain
